Blending traditional style with a colourful, modern twist, this kitchen becomes the focal point of a spacious extension in a large Edwardian house in Colchester. The vibrant blue cabinetry draws attention, creating a lively atmosphere. Pewter handles and stainless steel appliances infuse a contemporary touch, while oak finishes on the island worktop and bookcase lining provide a homely feel that complements the property's architecture.

Furniture

The furniture features traditional style cabinetry with a large panelled island that includes an end breakfast bar. The cabinetry is hand-painted in Farrow & Ball French Grey, while the perimeter cabinetry is finished in Dulux Luna Landscape, creating a harmonious yet dynamic look.

Work Surface

The work surfaces include 30mm ‘Labradorite Australia’ polished granite with a small pencil round edge, adding a luxurious and elegant touch. The island is topped with a 30mm solid oak worktop, providing warmth and natural beauty.

Flooring

The flooring consists of honed, square-edged Travertine tiles laid in a half bond pattern, enhancing the kitchen’s classic yet modern appeal.
